There is definitely something unforgettable about seeing a brightly colored front door. Recently, I passed several outstanding front doors worth sharing. These doors called attention to themselves because they were very playful, bright and cheery. If that was their intent, it worked, I noticed them.
The bright color also adds a good first impression. Instead of your house blending in with the neighbors it now says “look at me”. Getting people to notice gives the home curb appeal and curb appeal helps to sell your home faster. Per Forbes Magazine:
You know you’ve achieved great curb appeal when the outside of your house looks inviting enough that a buyer will want to stay long enough to see the inside of the home. Great curb appeal will not only help you sell your house faster, but it can help the value as well.
But, you also want the colors to work together (door, trim and siding). For example – considering orange? An article from Houzz offers a few suggestions on using this color: “Orange is a High energy color that hollers look at me – a great choice for an entry to a home. But it’s not an easy color to work with. Bright orange is intense and needs to be paired with soothing, neutral hues to avoid appearing to busy and garish.”
