Thinking about real estate and the cost per square foot? Planting in wine barrels offers space for cheap. Though half wine barrels can be bought for as little as $25 each, you can expect to pay between $40 to $60, which is still reasonable considering how spacious these planters can be. In this short video, I decided to line my half wine barrel with black plastic to protect my planting from too much acidity. Watch the video to see how simple lining and planting can be.
