Hello friends. Happy FALL! Hope you’re enjoying this lovely season! We are. Being an east coast gal, growing up with 4-distinct seasons, I always feel that it’s hugely important to tap into FALL; not just from a garden’s view point (which shows seasonality even in our mild Mediterranean SF climate), but, more so, enjoying and gaining inspiration from nature with leaves turning and falling, daylight changing and shortening; such a unique glow in the morning and the evening. Taking trips this time of year, particularly late September and October, is also a favorite! Seems like each year something gets planned. Hope you enjoy this short post capturing our favorite season and October travels!

A little night time reading in the van

After a cold, fun night van camping we are on the move, and driving down to Yosemite Valley (to hopefully) get a camping site for an addition 2-nights where it’s warmer!

These 9-photos are the full day following our camping in Porcupine Flat campground. You can see that we needed a good refueling breakfast following our cold night. The beautiful breakfast and lodge pictured is Yosemite’s Ahwahnee Hotel. (Bottom right photo) Here we and others (all on the waiting list) are in a circle hoping to score a campsite in the Valley. Good news! The ranger called our name and we scored 2 nights at Upper Pine campground in the Valley. Roz our terrer leader dog loved every minute of it!
